(1) The Materials I am submitting is Appropriate Content in accordance with the following standards. Appropriate Content is content that:

• Contains no statements about elections, candidates or voting.
• Does not violate any other person's copyrights, privacy rights, trademarks, trade secrets, or rights in other confidential information.
• Is not libelous, defamatory, or profane.
• Is not intended to threaten the safety of others and does not have the effect of causing a reasonable person to perceive a threat to his or her safety.
• Contains no "viruses," "worms," "Trojan horse" or any other contaminating or destructive features, or features designed to interfere with or disrupt the normal flow or use of this website.

(2) I am at least 18 years old.

(3) I will not include information in my written Materials that will identify me. Real Life. Real Talk. wants to preserve my privacy and anonymity, but depends on me to help make that possible. The only identifying information that may be used will be my home city.

(4) Either I am the only person described or depicted in the writings or video or I have the permission of all other persons described or depicted to submit the writings or video to Real Life. Real Talk. No one else has any rights in the Materials or, if someone else has rights in them, (for example, a friend who shot the video or wrote the content), she or he has given me permission to submit the Materials in accordance with this Content Submission Policy.

(5) I agree that by submitting this Material, I am granting Real Life. Real Talk. and its Partners and any licensees or assignees (collectively "Real Life. Real Talk."), as well as any other national media outlets chosen by Real Life. Real Talk. an unconditional, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use any content in the Materials that I submit in any way that is useful to Real Life. Real Talk. This includes the right to assign, edit, modify, or dispose of the Materials and to use the Materials in perpetuity in any manner, including on websites , or in print, video, and all other forms of media. The Partners of Real Life. Real Talk., which may change from time to time, are listed on the web site, www.realliferealtalk.org.

(6) I release and hold harmless Real Life. Real Talk. from any and all liability to me and/or my property arising out of its use of the Materials. This includes, but is not limited to, any claims of defamation, privacy or publicity, or claims of alleged misrepresentation of me, my character, or my statements.

(7) I understand and agree that my Materials may not be used at all and will not be returned to me.

(8) I understand that I will not be given credit or compensation for the Materials.

(9) If I submit Materials without a caption or title, I give permission to Real Life. Real Talk. to add one that is appropriate in its sole discretion.
